Omeprazole 20mg Capsule – Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that decreases the amount of acid that the stomach makes in the body. It is used in the treatment of stomach and esophagus problems such as ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease caused by stomach acid. It is sometimes given with other medications to treat several diseases. This medicine is available at Servocare Lifesciences with the brand name Servocid-20.
Warnings
Omeprazole Capsule is not recommended in some specific cases. One must avoid consuming this capsule if he has or had dealt with health problems including:
- allergic to Omeprazole or similar medications such as lansoprazole, rebeprazole, esomeprazole, pantoprazole, protonix, or other related medications.
- breathing problems
- low levels of magnesium in the blood
- osteoporosis
- kidney diseases
- liver diseases
- nausea or vomiting

Things to Consider During the Course of Omeprazole Capsule
- Read the instructions carefully or ask the doctor if any difficulty occurs in understanding the instructions.
- If it becomes difficult to swallow the whole capsule in one go, open it and sprinkle the medicine in a spoon filled with applesauce. Swallow the mixture straight away without chewing the components.
- Use this medication for a full prescribed length of time even if the symptoms tend to slightly improve.
- Talk to the doctor if the symptoms do not get improve even after completing the complete prescribed doses.
- Stop consuming the medicine and inform the doctor if severe stomach pain or any unusual pain in the thighs, hips, or back occurs.
